José's Journey

Lucy Claire/Unsplashed

I am a part-time MBA student at Queen Mary University of London, focusing on Healthcare Equity Finance. I finished a virtual internship on Investment Banking with APAC Citi and am half way through another one on Venture Capital with H2 Ventures from Australia.

As a member of the UK Maths Trust executive panel, I am leading both the organisation’s stakeholder mapping review and a rational impact assessment approach. In my day job I am an experienced Project Manager and R&D Engineering Leader interfacing client and researcher requirements with engineering implementation reality. Moving to the mid management level of science-based industry, I am adept at delivering high value hardware and software projects. I led full product and service lifecycle development using agile methods in a private-public partnership environment; interact at all levels, from eliciting clear project requirements from clients and researchers to reporting progress at C-level; analyse complex business needs to develop hardware and software technology solutions which support the achievement of company objectives whilst complying with ionising radiation and biosafety regulations; operate within the EU tender framework and the OGC gateway review processes (akin to PRINCE2).
